About me

Writer. Sociologist.

Humans are narrative creatures.

The stories we inherit and the stories we tell ourselves shape how we love, how we connect, and how we see our place in the world. Therapy becomes a space to slow down and examine those stories, to understand where they came from, and to reshape the ones that no longer feel true.

As a Marriage and Family Therapist trainee originally from Mexico, I bring a multicultural and multilingual lens to this work. I practice in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. Navigating multiple identities and expectations can create both strength and tension. In therapy, I bring a multicultural lens informed by culture, migration, family systems, gender, and power dynamics.

Together, we focus on deepening emotional clarity and strengthening relational patterns. We look at attachment dynamics, explore communication, and develop skills for emotional regulation and cognitive flexibility. I integrate narrative and art therapy, relational approaches, DBT and CBT tools, mindfulness practices, and sex positive frameworks in ways that are responsive to your goals.

My experience includes working closely with people in open relationships, polyamory, and other forms of ethical non-monogamy. This work centers thoughtful exploration of communication, consent, integrity, and relational alignment without privileging any single model of partnership. This practice affirms LGBTQIA+ identities, neurodivergence, and anyone who has felt unseen or misunderstood in traditional therapy.

Before entering clinical training, I spent over fifteen years leading community initiatives focused on justice, women’s empowerment, and expressive arts, including extensive work with incarcerated individuals across the Bay Area. I also hold a PhD in Political and Social Sciences, which deepened my understanding of how identity, power, culture, and systems shape personal experience. Together, these experiences inform how I hold therapeutic space. I consider both individual responsibility and systemic context, recognizing that emotional growth unfolds within relationships and within the larger structures that influence our lives.

Therapy with me is collaborative, direct, and depth-oriented. The aim is clarity, a stronger connection, and intentional relational change.
